Is he/she a sex addict? Here’s how to know
Sex addiction has been discussed many times on various platforms but people still find it difficult knowing what to look out for in a sex addict.
People sometimes think having lots of sex (depends on how they define lots) means one is a sex addict. Those who cheat also think they do so just because they can’t keep their libidos in check.
Others also engage in strange behaviors such as fetish, same-sex activities, bondage sex among others. Since these behaviors do not wash well with our religious, societal and moral system, such people wonder if they are sexually addicts.
This post is to help eliminate the confusion stated above and not to define what sexual addiction is. It might interest you to know that sexual addiction has nothing to do with what or who gets your juices boiling for sex. So being a gay, lesbian or bi-sexual doesn’t make you a sex addict.
Below are a few traits to look out for in a sex addict.
Exploitation of others for sex
He or she can be the best partner you ever had. He loves kids, listens to you when you tell your problems to him but doesn’t care about you or anyone when it comes to sex. He sees you as an object of sexual satisfaction or a toy to play with. He doesn’t care what happens to you after he’s done and will do anything including blackmail in order to get what he wants.
They are always pre-occupied with sex
Sex addicts cannot concentrate on anything for more than 10 minutes without fantasizing about banging someone. Those who don’t fantasize also sit and plan on how to get laid. When they are not doing any of the above then they are having sex. Majority of their decisions are influenced by sex such as their costume, the gym they go to and where they hangout.
They masturbate all the time
When I say all the time, I mean all the time. They take masturbation in the morning as breakfast, in the afternoon during lunch break and right before they retire to bed. Some also masturbate right after sex. If you are jerking off 20-30 times a week, then you’re an addict.
They engage in sex regardless the consequences.
Sex addiction makes people do the craziest thing for sexual satisfaction. Some can have unprotected sex with a stranger without paying attention to the potential contraction of STDs. As if not enough, so have sex with their co-worker on the boss’s desk. Others could bang their sister in-law in the kitchen when their wife is in the bedroom.
They are aware these actions could mess up their future and relationships but will still engage in them because they are addicted and out of control.
If you think your partner or someone you know is showing some of these signs, talk to them. If you are also in the same situation, talk to someone you trust or seek professional help. Help is very close to you than you think so you or your partner has no excuse to keep acting this way

It would be a mistake for Stonebwoy to win Grammys – Ambolley
Veteran highlife musician, Gyedu Blay Ambolley claims no Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall Artiste, including Stonebwoy, will be able to win the Grammys.
His assertion is based on the premise that Ghanaian artistes who find themselves in this genre do not portray the culture and identity of the country in their music as they use beats created by Jamaicans. He believes the lack of originality would certainly be an impediment.
“What I’m trying to emphasize is that we are a people of culture. We have so many forms of music; every country has its own. Why do we have to leave ours for theirs? Even if we are going to do it, it has to be done in our own way. We don’t use the same beat, sing in patois and all of that…,” he said on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, Friday.
When host, KMJ asked if Stonebwoy’s constant use of the Ewe language to embellish his songs is not enough, Ambolley responded that originality goes beyond language.
“He stands the chance but it’s not only about the language. The format of music is not created from here. Everything is rhythm. We have so many forms of rhythms here and if we can give it a little twist for identification, that’s what I’m talking about,” he mentioned.
Stonebwoy and Black Prophet’s albums LIVINGSTONE and STORIES OF LIFE respectively are up for consideration for Best Reggae Album at the 59th edition of the prestigious awards ceremony. In the case of Black Prophet, his records were produced by an international record label that used no Ghanaian element on any of the records. Ambolley believes Ghanaian artistes refusal to stay unique is the reason international awards schemes disrespect them.
“Everything is identification and comes down to direction. BET giving Stonebwoy and Sarkodie awards and all that, there is something they don’t do before awarding somebody. They need to come down here to investigate and know what is really going on but they would sit up there, call someone and ask who is the most popular artiste here. Disrespectfully, they give them the award backstage. Something is not right. Anything coming to Africa, they look down upon it. We sit here and hail them because BET has given us award. We really need to do our homework well,” he stated.
Asked if he would be surprised should Stonebwoy or Black Prophet is nominated, Ambolley replied that the Grammys would not be doing something right.
“I wouldn’t be disappointed but what I’m trying to say and emphasizing is that when it’s being done, it must be done well. I’m not trying to downplay the young artistes. The direction is what I’m talking about,” he said.

Sex outside marriage is perfectly okay says pastor

In her book, the pastor says no one should be forced to abstain if they find themselves single by circumstance.
McCleneghan backs up her argument saying single Christians don't need to abstain from sex to remain pure since being chaste is all about moderation.
The pastor who is a married mother of three argues that single people can be faithful in unmarried sexual relationships if they exercise restraint.
McCleneghan believes it's unfair to ask single Christians who haven't been called to a life of celibacy to refrain from sexual intimacy when both men and women need sex.
If we refrain from having sex that isn't mutually pleasurable and affirming, that doesn't respect the sacred worth of ourselves and our partners," she explained.
The pastor teachings are contrary to many Christian teachings which mainly urge single individuals to abstain until marriage and go against the Christian tradition that advises against extra-marital sex.
Sex outside marriage is viewed as a sin, that will lead anyone to hell.
